Amazon Prime Video is a popular over-the-top (OTT) platform that allows you to stream unlimited movies and TV episodes with a paid or free subscription. It’s full of great movies and TV shows from Amazon and licensed third-party content.
Interestingly, every minute you watch on Prime Video is added to your watch history. So, if you’ve seen an episode of an embarrassing Amazon Prime Video show once or twice on a shared account, you can quickly fix it by deleting your Amazon Prime Video history.
If you remove content from Amazon’s watch history, it will not be used for subsequent recommendations.
Here’s how to clear your Amazon Prime Video watch history:
Step 1: Visit the Amazon website on your device. Then log in or log in to your Amazon Prime account.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Accounts and Lists’ option at the top right of the screen. Then select the ‘Your Prime Video’ option from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Upon completion, you will be redirected to the Prime Video page. Clicking on the ‘Settings’ option will redirect you back to the ‘Accounts & Settings’ page.
Step 4: Now click on the ‘Activity’ tab and then click on the ‘View viewing history’ option in the box.
A page will open showing all the recently watched movies and shows.
Step 5: Now, if you want to remove a show or movie from your history, just scroll down the list and click the “Remove from Viewed Videos” button next to the movie or TV show you want to hide. You can also check the “I don’t want to use this for recommendations” box. You can find it on the right side of the screen.
Note: It is not possible to clear the entire Amazon Prime Video history at once from your browser. Therefore, you should delete each item one by one instead.
